and newly released Sparkling Portrayal!
Oysters and sparkling wines are a dazzling pairing. The briny salinity, texture and understated sweetness of a fresh oyster is beautifully balanced by the bright acidity and refreshing effervescence of sparkling wine. Just as our méthod traditionnelle crafted Blanc de Blancs (crisp notes of light toast, citrus, and lemon), and the new vintage of Sparkling Portrayal (apple, citrus, light cream), express our unique Piedmont Plateau terroir, the distinct flavor and characteristics of oysters are influenced by surrounding waters, tides, salinity and minerals called a merroir.
On August 5th, our vineyard lawn will offer tasting stations of oysters and seafood sourced from select locations, each chosen for quality and signature flavors including, fresh shucked oysters with classic cocktail or mignonette accompaniment, Grilled Oysters with Lemon Garlic Cayenne, Oysters Rockefeller, Maine Shrimp Rolls and Saku Tuna.
Whether you are an oyster enthusiast or just dipping your foot in the water, the evening will reveal why oysters, seafood and sparkling wines have thrilled tables around the world for centuries. Don’t miss it.
